June 28th – BP and the Future of Sustainability

Clive Christison became a member of the board of directors of BP’s general partner in September 2017. Since July 2020, he has been the Senior Vice President, Fuels Supply & Midstream at BP. Prior to his current role, Clive was Senior Vice President, Pipelines, Supply & Optimization for Fuels in North America. Currently, Clive is globally accountable for BP’s Fuels Supply, Refining performance, Midstream activities, Logistics & Pipeline Operations, Commercial & Unbranded Sales, Specialities Businesses, and Pricing teams. He is responsible for maximizing the value across – Refining & the Integrated Value chains, Biofuels & Low Carbon, Commercial growth, Business develop and BPMP (MLP). He oversees a global team of ~ 1000 professionals and operating staff.

In addition, Clive is a Board Member of FIA, Deputy Chairman of CMC (Commodity Markets Council), Member of CFTC advisory committee, Director of BPMP, Director of BP America, and Director of BP Products North America.

He also serves on the boards of BABC-Chicago, Chicago Urban League, and Chicago Shakespeare Company.

Clive is a graduate of Edinburgh University with a degree in Chemical Engineering and has an MBA from Warwick Business School.
